From August 28, 2012, probably my favorite baseball game I have ever had the pleasure to be on the call for, the first no-hitter I ever got to announce, this is the final inning of Tyson Corley’s no-hitter in a 7-0 win for the Windy City ThunderBolts over the Lake Erie Crushers:

One of the weirder games I’ve ever had the pleasure to call, this one was rained out in the bottom of the tenth inning. It picked up the next day and didn’t last all that long. Here is the conclusion between the ThunderBolts and Lake Erie Crushers from August 15, 2015.

The high point of the 2017 Windy City ThunderBolts season was undoubtedly on August 29, when they built an 11-0 lead and looked on their way to cementing their playoff chances. The fact that they ended up losing the game 12-11 in what was certainly the low point of the season has no bearing on this audio clip, in which the Bolts are up to bat in the top of the second. It’s a long inning, but that’s good for Windy City.

The low point behind them, the ThunderBolts went out to play on September 1 needing a win just to stay in the race. Although they would go on to lose the game in extra innings, my partner Mike Rankin and I were able to have fun with straw talk and such during the top of the eighth against the Schaumburg Boomers:

After the Crushers effectively eliminated the ThunderBolts from the playoffs in 2017, the Bolts had a chance to return the favor in the final week of the 2018 season. This game in Avon, Ohio was part one of a doubleheader on August 30 and at this point, has reached the bottom of the sixth:
